| Hello wonderful people!
This is Carrie, and since Kate is obviously a very busy gal, I've taken it upon myself to be her little secretary and fill a few of her adoring fans in on her glamorous life. At the moment, Kate has been rehearsing with all her might, and she's been quite tired out latley. The poor chickie poo...Apparently the show is coming along verah verah nicely, so you ALL need to go see Steel Magnolias, and it starts Sept. 29th. *coighgoseeitcough*. In Kate's spare time, she's been preparing herself for the opening of Rent the movie (squee). She's quite excited for it. Rent opens on November 23rd, so EVERYONE has to go and see it, and tell everyone else to go and see it. It should be glorious. Aaaand the Rent soundtrack is out the ....24th?..I dunno I can't get it til the 27th, but everyone needs to buy like 8 copies.
Well I know this isn't my xanga, but while I'm here I might as well fill you all in on my life. I've been keeping myself busy lately. Dancing 2 nights a week in the oldest class *rejoice*. At the moment I have quite a few bruises, and my feet hurt from pointe, but it's really not as hard as I thought it would be, and I'm totally enjoying myself in there. Yep *nods head*. Hm what else should I share with you sheeldruhn..It's getting pretty close to my birthday now..not even half a year away, so you all have to be thinking about that, k? Doesn't look as if I'll be able to have my license on March 13th though, due to lack of driving skills, so you needn't move and build a house 2 miles off of the road. lol I'm not that much of a disaster hehe. It's been about a month since I listened to Phantom *GASPSHOCKANDAWELIKEOMG!* Okay everyone calm down and let me explain. The Phantom story pulled me through some "tough" times in my pre-teen years, and I'm not nearly as emotional as I used to be. Now I know you're all thinking that it sounds like I don't like Phantom anymore. Not true at all. I still LOVE Phantom, but you see, I'm beginning to love Erik more than "Phantom" if you're all following me. You won't understand what I mean until you read the book, but Erik (I can call him that because that was his name in the orginal novel, unlike Andy who only named him phantom..) was so much more pitiful, I'm not going to go into a big long essay about the novel vs. the musical (Although I coulllld) but it's something that's very special to me, and therefore I'm keeping it to myself (because I'm selfish like that). I do still like to sit in my room and admire my mask though . It's been like...a couple weeks since I listened to Wicked. Now Wicked is, of course, nice and brilliant and cute and whatever the heck you want to call it, but it's just not up there with Phantom. I cry over Wicked because it's just a really beautiful and sweet story, I cry over Phantom because the story is just more MEH! I understand what I mean, but I can't write it out, so yes, I heart Phantom with all my might still, I just heart Erik more at the moment... .
Sigh all right children, there's your update on my life, I do hope you all enjoyed it. I'll talk to all you beautiful people later! I love you!!! Good night!

eee! how is you durin? im all kinds of happy right now! so this week i asked if i could try out for steel magnolias at MCAG and got an "im sorry you're too young..." ((you were supposed to 16 at least and im 15)) and then i got a call saying "screw all that...i'd like you to come read for me..." and then who knew about an hour later i got a call saying " i just wanted to offically tell you i want you to be annelle!" SCORE! so today the cast list was officially posted and i was all HECK YES! sooo i am playing Annelle in Steel Magnolias now and can't wait! someone didnt get cast who was a little harsh towards me... but i thought it was kinda funny... and then the awards banquet was tonight and it was all kinds of fun: congrats to all who won: keishashasha, sarah, lenny, cory, kate n., carrie nae!, and the list goes on... then off to applebee's (i think i live there) and we all had a good time! ((however, ryan made me nervous with all those knives... :S) ) ooo and friday i got to go to carrie's and we got a bootleg of......RENT!!! it was GREAT i was in awe... maureen sucked and it made me soo sad (non-OBC, of course) but overall it was AMAZING! i've had a pretty good day i guess! well, i'm signing off! "viva la vie boheme!" ~kate
| WoW, MoM! what a week.... so let's start with friday! we did the show and,........I did something stupid!!! very stupid!! okay for those of you who didn't see the show, during curtain calls adam and i (are beavers) and we turn around and flip our tails at the audience...but i'm wearing a dress....and when i flipped my tail...my dress was stuck to it....well let's just say that sandy knew what color my underpants were....:S everyone was acting like nothing happened and i was talking to tony and ryan and they didn't say anything until i was like YES, I KNOW MY BUTT IS ALL OVER MAURY COUNTY! and then they laughed...and laughed...and are still making fun of me for it...anywhooo then went with the tonster (hmm that's new) to applebee's... he colored a pretty sweet veggie tales book-it's hanging up on my walls! then skip to satuday which was quite interesting.... okay well first sarah came down and we met her in columbia at the dollar mart and then tony called and i said to meet us at the dollar mart where we were buying cheap food to take into the movies....when keisha said TURN AROUND and then we saw it. it was a bearded lady. no joke. uber wedgie and black-haired legs. ya...i made that face too... then we scurried over to the movies to see the new charlie and the chocolate factory when in the parking lot we stumbled upon lenny who was going to see it alone (how sad!) so he joined our bunch and then we stumbled upon tammy and conner and ...uh, conner's dad... and sat directly behind them after will finished announcing WHO WANTS TO SIT DIRECTLY BEHIND TAMMY?! it was a nice show...will and lenny enjoyed it a little too much.... :S s othen will sarah keisha and i decided to loiter at taco bell until time to go to the arts guild...where i ordered the 5 layer burrito.. i meant 4...but it was 7....that also only made sense if you were there...where we saw mark stooksbury on the way and then walked in the door till BAM! WHOREA!!! yucko! me and keisha and sarah then retired to the bathroom to giggle like little school girls while we left my brother out there for an extremely akward moment! anywhoo the show went pretty good and no moonage after friday's little mishap... then we went to applebee's with the whole cast and ditched the whole cast and sat with sarah will keisha tony nicole and lenny! it was all kinds of fun and interesting...i learned quite a lot... hehe oh and we called carrie nae smith and she dyed her hair brown!! i know!! then around 1 in ze morning i got home and geared up for the last day of the show...which i was all kinds of sad about cause i knew this would be the end, well almost, of the summer! so i found out some sounding good news and got my hopes up and then they crashed... it's okay...he's a dirty pirate hooker...*sigh*... so we wrapped up the last show...striked the set...ate some turkish delight (oh, gag!)... said our goodbyes and left! now i'm sad it's over but i have less of a reason of wanting it to go on so i guess thing'll work out! my day didn't end too well, but i DO get to go the awards banquet after all!~(heck yes!!!) i'm so lost right now... i'm gonna go listen to some rent... to lose myself even more...*no day but today* | | |

SCORE! that totally made my day. and nicole made a little boy cry and that was her goal so go us! sarah and tony are coming tonight! yay im going to applebees...knock on wood the show goes great....i need to get more cookies because lizzie and leeana ate all of them! ...and keishas mom and dad and my mom and lindsey and ryan and tammy....okay so i gave them all away... so on a not fabulous note, 2 people go out who SHOULDN'T and i was upset and mildly cracked up at the same time... but now im feeling so let him make that mistake see if i care and all that business... i guess thats the way to be..."there are other fishys in the sea..." well i need to go get ready for tonight! come if you can!! bahh---ahhye!
| hello all! im in an uber-depressed state and im happy at the same time. kind of like listening to rent. except this time its real. on a sad note, adam (my beaver love) 's mom is really sick and on friday they gave her two hours to live so i don't know how they're all doing but keep them in your thoughts and prayers. i don't see how adam does it-he's been at vanderbilt like every day and then comes to the arts guild and is always in high spirits. he's been really strong through all this and i think alot of him! so to brighten his spirit...me and my mom made some pretty sweet beaver tails that i think will cheer him up! to change the subject i got a cd today by Jane Monheit- she's jazz and its pretty good! i give it a reccomendation. and i just found out that Anthony Rapp has a solo cd and i don't have it! meh its called Look Around and its release was 2001! geez its everything from rock to gershwin. im happy for him and sad for me. if anyone wants to get me a present.... :S so i also found out, speaking of cds, that I get to make a cd!!! my grandparents said they would pay for it and that they wanted me to make it before we started school, so that means SOON!! yay! i think it needs at least 8 songs, but i need a good variety of styles and such, and stuff that'll suit my voice, so if any of you have any suggestions of songs it would be greatly appreciated! and i just figured out how i could record myself and burn it just from the computer so im gonna have fun playing with it tomorrow...i really want to sing right now...i realized that in the few minutes i've been writing i've listened to about 4,000 different songs so i dont know what to put im listening to...and i've also decided that whatever i do with my life it better have to do with music. | | |
